Milligan women's basketball picks up AAC road victory

East Point, Ga. (Jan. 21, 2012) --- The Milligan College women's team picked up their second straight AAC victory on Saturday as they defeated AAC newcomer Point University 77-54 in East Point, Ga.
 
   The Buffaloes opened the game quickly as they ran to a 45-25 lead at the break. The Milligan defense continued to keep the Skyhawks at bay as they cruised to the victory in the second half.
 
   Johneshia Good (Johnson City, Tenn.) led the way with 20 points as she was 8-for-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from the 3-point line. Jaimee Hill (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Dorian Freeman (Augusta, Ga.) had 11 points apiece. As a team, the Buffaloes forced 27 turnovers in the game.
 
   With the win, Milligan improves to 5-4 in AAC action and 13-8 overall.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 25, as they travel to Bristol, Va., for a conference clash with Virginia Intermont. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
