Buffaloes volleyball over powers Reinhardt

Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 12, 2012) --- The Milligan College volleyball team snapped a four game losing streak as they defeated Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt University 3-0 on Friday night in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
 
   In the match's first set, the Buffaloes jumped out to a 9-3 lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 25-14 victory in the frame. After Reinhardt took a 13-10 lead in the second set, Jessica Davenport (Cleveland, Tenn.) served six straight points, and the Buffaloes used a 13-3 run to take the set by a score of 25-16.
 
   The game's decisive third set saw Milligan jump out to a 4-0 lead. That sparked the Buffaloes to score 12 straight points en route to a 25-12 set victory to capture the match.
 
   Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) recorded 30 assists, while Katelin Henson (Kingsport, Tenn.) tallied up a team high 13 digs. Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 12 kills and 11 digs. Rachel Renville (Broomfield, Colo.) and Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) recorded 10 and nine kills, respectively.
 
   With the win, the Buffaloes improve to 13-10 overall and 8-2 in conference play.
 
   Milligan returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 13, as they host Point University in an AAC clash. Match time is slated for 11 a.m.
