Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2012) --- The Milligan College volleyball team picked up an Appalachian Athletic Conference victory as they defeated Point University 3-0 on Saturday morning inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

  The Buffaloes opened the match as they jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the first set as they cruised to a 25-9 set victory. In the second set, Milligan slowly pulled away to take a 25-16 victory in the second set. The decisive third set saw the Buffaloes race out to a 10-4 lead to propel them to a 25-12 set victory.

Rachel Renville (Broomfield, Colo.) and
Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 10 kills apiece, while English recorded 10 digs.
Katelin Henson (Kingsport, Tenn.) had a team high 12 digs.
Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) tallied 22 assists, and
Kaitlyn Qualls (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had eight digs.

  With the win, Milligan improves to 14-10 overall and 9-2 in AAC action.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 16, as they host NCAA D-II foe Mars Hill College. Match time inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse is set for 6:30 p.m.
