Milligan women's soccer dispatches Bryan

Dayton, Tenn. (Oct. 20, 2012) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team picked up a 2-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Bryan College on Saturday evening in Dayton, Tenn.

   The Buffaloes broke onto the scoreboard early as Jacklyn Orange (Bagdad, Ky.) scored off a Teagan Wood (Kingsport, Tenn.) assist in the ninth minute of the game. Milligan was unable to take advantage of other opportunities in the half, but they limited the Lady Lions to just one shot as they led 1-0 at the half.

   Milligan continued to keep the Bryan offense off the board as they limited the Lady Lions to just two shots in the period. The Buffaloes extended their lead in the 88th minute with a Raelyn Hunt (Fort Mill, S.C.) goal.

   With the win, Milligan improves to 6-1-1 in AAC action and 9-5-1 overall.

   The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, for their regular season finale as they host Reinhardt University. Match time is set for 2:30 p.m.
