Milligan College, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2012) --- The Milligan College volleyball team came up short in Appalachian Athletic Conference action on Saturday as they fell 3-0 to Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.

  After falling behind early in the first set, the Buffaloes rallied to tie the set at 10-10 and again at 15-15. However, they were unable to get in front of the Lady Lions as they fell 25-23 in the set. Milligan stayed with Bryan throughout most of the second set, but the Lady Lions used a late run to take a 25-17 victory. In the decisive third set, the Buffaloes jumped out to an early lead, but was unable to hold on as they fell 25-17.

Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) had 19 assists with eight digs.
Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) had seven kills, while
Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had eight digs and five kills.
Katelin Henson (Kingsport, Tenn.) tallied up a team high 14 digs.

  With the loss, Milligan falls to 7-2 in AAC action and 12-9 overall.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 10, as they host nonconference foe Southern Wesleyan. Match time inside Steve Lacy Fieldhouse is slated for 6:30 p.m.
