Pippa Passes, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2012) --- The Milligan College men's basketball team picked up a 84-67 nonconference victory over Alice Lloyd College on Thursday night in Pippa Passes, Ky.

  The game was a back and forth battle for the first 10 minutes before the Buffaloes pushed out to a double-digit lead. Milligan maintained a 39-27 lead at the break.

  In the second half, Alice Lloyd made a run to cut the Milligan lead to four points midway through the half. However, the Buffaloes went on a late run and capitalized on late free throws down the stretch to secure the victory.

Cartree Pettis (Oveido, Fla.) had an impressive showing for the Buffaloes as he recorded 17 points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Senior
Tyler DeVault (Kingsport, Tenn.) tallied 16 points and five rebounds, while
Ignas Palaima (Lithuania) had 14 points.
Mickey Woods (Port Arthur, Tex.) ended the night with 13 points and a team high seven rebounds.
Torian Sitton (Hendersonville, N.C.) rounded out the starting five with 12 points.

  With the win, Milligan improves to 2-1 on the season.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Friday, Nov. 16, as they travel to the two-day Asbury Classic in Asbury, Ky. Milligan will open the event against Cincinnati Christian at 4 p.m.ÂÂ
