Montreat, N.C. (March 27, 2012) --- The Milligan College softball team picked up their 20
th win of the season on Tuesday afternoon with a sweep of AAC foe Montreat College in Montreat, N.C. The Buffaloes pitched a near perfect game as they took a 7-0 victory in the first game, and then they scored eight unanswered runs to take a 8-1 win in the second game.

  In the day's first game,
Chancli Connatser (Maryville, Tenn.) pitched a perfect five innings, and then
Brooke Ingle (Tuscola, N.C.) pitched a one hitter the rest of the way to keep Montreat off the board. Connatser picked up the win in the pitching circle as she recorded 10 strikeouts.

  At the plate,
Krista Lambdin (Knoxville, Tenn.) was 3-for-4, while
Makenzie Lilley (Kingsport, Tenn.) was 2-for-3.
Brittany DiRobbio (Oviedo, Fla.) ended the game 2-for-4.
Sarah Arrowood (Asheville, N.C.),
Abby Hughes (Rogersville, Tenn.) and Connatser were 1-for-3.

  The second game saw Montreat scored a run in the bottom of the first, but the Buffaloes scored eight unanswered runs to take the victory. Connatser picked up her second straight win in five innings of work as she allowed just one run on two hits.

 Lambdin was 2-for-4 and
Kelsey Simmons (Elizabethton, Tenn.) was 1-for-1.
Emily Biggs (Kingsport, Tenn.) ended the game 1-for-2.

  With the sweep, the Buffaloes improve to 7-1 in AAC action and 20-12 overall.

  The Buffaloes return to action on Thursday, March 29, when they host Union (Ky.) College. Game time at Anglin Field is slated for 2 p.m.
