Waleska, Ga. (Sept. 28, 2012) --- The Milligan College volleyball team remained undefeated in Appalachian Athletic Conference action as they picked up a 3-0 victory over Reinhardt University on Friday night in Waleska, Ga.
In the first set, the Buffaloes pulled away late as they went on an 8-1 run to take a 25-13 victory in the first set. Milligan captured the second set 25-18. In the decisive third set, the Buffaloes overcame an early deficit to take a 25-22 set victory to secure the match.
Chelsea Spivey (Gate City, Va.) led the way 27 assists in just two sets.
Holly English (Kingsport, Tenn.) had a stellar night with 18 kills as she recorded a hitting percentage of .424, while
Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) had 12 kills.
Rachel Renville (Broomfield, Colo.) recorded nine kills.
Katelin Henson (Kingsport, Tenn.) had 24 digs, while
Katelyn Qualls (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had 11 dig.
With the win, Milligan improved to 6-0 in AAC action and 11-6 overall.
The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, when they play Point University in West Point, Ga. Match time is set for 11 a.m.ÂÂ
