Milligan College, Tenn. (Sept. 29, 2012) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team celebrated senior day with a 1-0 victory over Union College on Saturday afternoon at Anglin Field.
 
   The Buffaloes struck quickly as senior Jacklyn Orange (Bagdad, Ky.) knocked in a rebound in the game's second minute to give Milligan an early 1-0 lead. Milligan continued to push the ball up the field and saw chances from Taylor Speciale (Evansville, Ind.) and Lauren Brewer (Knoxville, Tenn.) go wide as the Buffaloes took a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
 
   In the second half, the Milligan defense held off the Lady Bulldogs attempts to even the score as the Buffaloes preserved the victory.
 
   Defensively, Lauren McInturff (Kingsport, Tenn.) recorded five saves.
 
   With the win, Milligan improves to 6-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play.
 
   Milligan returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 6, when they travel to Tennessee Wesleyan. Match time in Athens, Tenn., is slated for 1 p.m.
