Tracy Hardiman (Maryville, Tenn.) hit a 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds remaining to give the No. 23 Milligan College women's basketball team an 82-79 victory over Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Montreat College on Saturday evening in Montreat, N.C.

  In the first half, neither team could pull away until the Lady Cavaliers took a late seven point lead. The Buffaloes cut into the gap, but Montreat held a 37-34 lead at the half.

  In the second half, Milligan made an early run to take their biggest lead of the game, 54-44, with 11:39 left in the game. The Buffaloes maintained the advantage for the next eight minutes, but Montreat fought back to tie the game at 77-77 with 1:30 left in the game and again at 79-79 with 30 seconds remaining. Milligan took the game's last shot as
Kayla Kelly (Chattanooga, Tenn.) found Hardiman for the game winning 3-pointer with 1.4 seconds left on the clock.

Johneshia Good (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Kelly led the way with 21 points apiece, while
Jamiee Hill (Johnson City, Tenn.) had 18 points. Hardiman finished with 10 points. Alexandria Gellman had a career high 34 points to lead Montreat. In the game, the Buffaloes forced 25 turnovers.

  Milligan finished the game 30-of-68 (44%) from the floor, including going 18-of-34 (52%) in the second half, while the Lady Cavaliers were 30-of-66 (45%) from the field.

  With the win, the Buffaloes improve to 10-1 in AAC action and 17-7 overall, while Montreat falls to 5-6 in conference play and 14-8 overall.
