Laurinburg, N.C. (Nov. 21, 2013) - The Milligan College Lady Buffaloes defeated the Knights of St. Andrews University 83-56 Thursday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up.

The Buffaloes jumped out to an early lead in the first half shooting with a field goal percentage of .500. The Knights were unable to find an answer to Milligan's offensive pressure seeing St. Andrews enter the half trailing 48-22.

St. Andrews made a good adjustment coming into the second half staying in stride, point-for-point, with Milligan the remainder of the game. However, Milligan would maintain the lead they earned in the first half and would finish the game on top 83-56.

Freshman
Hayley Wyrick (Coeburn, Va.) lead the Buffalo attack with a game high of 21 points on the night. Following Wyrick was
Allison Jones (Morristown, Tenn.) with 13 points and three steals.
Chelsey Weddle (Hampton, Tenn.) rounded out the Buffalo scoring column with 10 points as well as three steals.

The Buffaloes' overall record improves to 4-2 and 1-1 in the AAC.

The Buffaloes will return to action in their next game as they host AAC foe Point University Saturday, Nov. 23. Tip-off inside the Steve Lacy Field House is set for 2 p.m.
