Montreat, N.C. (Sept. 11, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team was unable to battle back as they fell 2-0 to Montreat College in Appalachian Athletic Conference action on Wednesday in Montreat, N.C.
 
   The Lady Cavaliers opened the scoring in the second minute of the game. Milligan kept attacking, but they were unable to score as they trailed 1-0 at the half.
 
   In the second half, the Buffaloes were unable to get a goal on the board despite a hard fought effort. Montreat added a goal in the 76^th minute to secure the win.
 
   Defensively, Charlotte Stephens (Grays, England) tallied eight saves in a half of play. The Buffaloes recorded 11 shots in the game.
 
   Milligan falls to 2-2-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14, as they travel to nonconference foe Trevecca Nazarene University. Match time is set for 2 p.m., CT in Nashville, Tenn.
