Milligan College, Tenn. (Sept. 21, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team picked up a 3-1 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Point University on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Anglin Field.

Teagan Wood (Kingsport, Tenn.) pushed the Milligan lead to 2-0 in the 13th minute. Neither team was able to score a goal until Luisa Alvarez scored in the 40th minute, but the Buffaloes held a 2-1 advantage at the half.

In the second half, Harrison scored her second goal of the game in the 50th minute. Milligan continued to press as shots by Rebecca Buchanan (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Wood were saved by the Point keeper. However, Lauren McIntuff (Kingsport, Tenn.) and the Buffaloes defense kept the Lady Skyhawks at bay to take the victory.

Defensively, McIntuff had eight saves in a complete game effort.
