Barbourville, Ky. (Sept. 28, 2013) --- The Milligan College women's soccer team used three second half goals to take a 3-1 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory over Union (Ky.) College on Saturday afternoon in Barbourville, Ky.
 
   The Buffaloes were unable to score on a pair of early shots from Rebecca Buchanan (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Kelsey Jones (Royersford, Pa.). Union took a 1-0 lead in the 20^th minute with a Helen Weber goal off of a deflect. The Buffaloes continue to press, but they were unable to score as they trailed 1-0 at the break.
 
   The Buffaloes evened the score at 1-1 in the 66^th minute as Keri Harrison (Kingsport, Tenn.) scored off an assist from Christine Hardin (Elizabethton, Tenn.). Hardin kicked Milligan into the lead in the 82^nd minute as she scored off a Buchanan assist, and Milligan wrapped up the scoring in the 84^th minute off a Union own goal.
 
   Defensively, Lauren McInturff (Kingsport, Tenn.) recorded five saves.
 
   With the win, Milligan improves to 3-2 in conference and 4-5-1 overall.
 
   The Buffaloes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, as they host AAC foe Tennessee Wesleyan. Match time at Anglin Field is set for 1 p.m.
