Columbia, S.C. (Sept. 21, 2013) --- The Milligan College volleyball team came up short in an Appalachian Athletic Conference thriller on Saturday as they fell 3-2 to Columbia College in Columbia, S.C.
  After the Buffaloes fell 25-13 in the day's opening set, Milligan battled back to tie the match at 1-1 with a 28-26 set victory. The Buffaloes continued to hold the momentum as they held on for a 25-23 third set victory.
  In the fourth set, Columbia used an early run to pull away and take a 25-16 set victory. The Buffaloes were unable to keep pace in the decisive fifth set as they fell 15-10.

Kylie Whaley (Maryville, Tenn.) had 14 kills apiece, andÂÂ
Jessica Davenport (Cleveland, Tenn.) recorded 41 assists.
Kaitlyn Round (Billings, Mont.) ended the match with 16 digs.ÂÂ
Emilee Linkous (Morristown, Tenn.) had four solo blocks.
  With the loss, Milligan falls to 6-11 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
  The Buffaloes return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 24, as they travel to Montreat College. Match time in Montreat, N.C., is set for 6:30 p.m.
