Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's basketball continues rolling with 78-60 win over Bob Jones

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Nov. 8, 2014) â€" Morgan McLeod and the Milligan College men's basketball team once again put the game away early, defeating Bob Jones University 78-60 for their fourth straight win and Head Coach Bill Robinson's 300th career coaching win Saturday evening inside the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.

"Overall I feel very happy about where we are right now," said Head Coach Bill Robinson, who has won 78 of those 300 games at Milligan. "I wish we could get that killer instinct and put a team away, but we do want to get a chance to play everybody and get more of a feel for everybody together with a new squad and going into conference play."

McLeod had the first six points of the game as Milligan (4-0) cruised out to a 15-2 lead through the first six minutes and never looked back. The Buffaloes went ahead by as many as 17 in the first half and led by 16 at the break, only allowing the visiting Bruins to cut the lead to single digits twice past the first 10 minutes.

McLeod, who scored 10 points with five rebounds in the first half, finished with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting and was three rebounds away from a double-double. Mickey Woods led Milligan with 16 points, three assists and three steals while nine other Buffaloes registered points.

Bob Jones' Kyle Turner and Dustin Killough led all scorers with 19 and 18, respectively, and Marshall Riddle had nine points and six assists.

Milligan will head to West Point, Georgia, with the women on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader with Point University starting at 5:30 p.m. The Buffaloes will be back home the following Saturday for another women's and men's doubleheader at 2 p.m. back here in the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
