Kayla Kelly and
Brooke White enjoyed career nights in their final game at the Steve Lacy Fieldhouse as the women's basketball team trounced Virginia Intermont College 88-65 Saturday.

With the victory, Milligan (16-10, 12-6 AAC) avenged its 93-87 overtime loss to the Lady Cobras (10-14, 6-11 AAC) on Jan. 8 at their place.

Kelly and White scored 17 and 15, respectively, including 14 and 12 in a first half that saw Milligan build its lead to as many as 27.

Kelly posted seven rebounds, two assists, and a steal and was only outscored by
Allison Jones (18).

White connected on all five three-point attempts for the game while adding five rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal.
ÂÂ
In all, 11 Buffaloes entered the scoring column in the victory, and four reached double digits.
Chelsey Weddle scored 11 and was a rebound shy of her fourth double-double this season.

Milligan shot 31-of-63 (49.2%) as a team, which included going 12-for-29 (41.4%) from three. The Buffs were 8-of-18 (44.4%) from three in the first half.

The Lady Cobras' leading scorer was Nikita Jones with 17 points. Kayla Orrick posted 16 points and seven rebounds.

Milligan will be on the road for the remaining two games of the season. Next up is Reinhardt University(11-14, 8-9 ACC) on Monday, Feb. 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Waleska, Ga.
