Ansley Ferguson and
Keri Harrison each gave the Milligan College women's soccer team a lead Saturday afternoon, but the Buffaloes ultimately fell to Truett-McConnell College, 3-2.

The Buffaloes fell to 1-5 on the season and 0-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

The Buffs were the first to strike as
Christine Hardin assisted
Ansley Ferguson, in the 13th minute, to score the first goal of the game. However, the Bears answered in the 28th minute with a goal of their own from Katey Griggs.

With the game tied 1-1,
Keri Harrison found the net in the 25th minute, giving the Buffs the lead once again.

The Buffs held the lead going into the second period, but a shot from Paige Williams in the 60th minute tied the game at 2.
ÂÂ
Meredith Mellard sent the winning goal in for the Bears with only 16 minutes left to play. The Buffs fired three shots to try and answer, but none would find the goal.

Milligan took seven shots in the contest, led by
Rebecca Buchanan who took three.
Charlotte Stephens faced 17 shots from the Bears (10 on goal), and she made seven saves.
