DAYTON, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2014) â€" Two goals in 20 seconds produced another conference win for the Milligan College women's soccer team as the Buffaloes beat Bryan College 3-1 Saturday evening.

Milligan improved to 3-5 on the season and picked up its second conference win in a row to move to 2-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Bryan was the first to strike as Shannon Mollenhauer found the back of the net in the 22nd minute on Bryan's 10th shot of the first half.

The Buffs would return the favor with only five minutes left in the first half as Brittany Davis, assisted by Sidney Bailey, scored for the Buffs. ÂÂ
From there, the Buffs stayed in control. Taylor Hatmaker scored the next goal in the 60th minute, putting Milligan in the lead, and 16 seconds later, the Buffs regained control of the ball on a foul and struck again. This time, Rebecca Buchanan found the net to give the Buffs the lead they would hold for the rest of the game. ÂÂ
The Buffs made 10 shots with six being on goal. Callie West and Katelyn Johnson led Milligan with two shots, one on goal, apiece. Charlotte Stephens picked up five saves in the match with four coming in the second half, stopping the Lady Lions chances at a comeback. ÂÂ
Milligan will play Bluefield College on the road on Friday, Oct. 3 before returning home to take on Montreat College on Oct. 8.
