WEST POINT, Ga. (Oct. 1, 2016) â€" The Milligan College women's soccer team played Point University, the top team in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, on Saturday and lost by a score of 2-0.
 
Milligan (5-5, 2-3 AAC) fell behind in the 25th minute as Point (9-2-1, 5-0 AAC) opened the scoring with a goal from Jacqueline Escobedo, coming on a rebound after Milligan senior goalkeeper Charlotte Stephens made one of her three saves. Point's Celly Ruiz added to the Skyhawk lead with the game's final goal in the 74th minute.
 
Milligan was outshot 10-3 in the contest.
 
Milligan will be on the road for another game on Saturday, Oct. 8, before returning home on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The next home game will be the first match of a three-match homestand.
