MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 11, 2016) â€" Milligan College's women's soccer team returned home for the first time in over two weeks to host the Montreat Lady Cavaliers on Tuesday. After dropping three Appalachian Athletic Conference games on the road, the Buffaloes turned things around and won 5-0.

Milligan (6-6, 3-4 AAC) dominated on the offensive side of the ball from the moment the game started. Within the first two minutes, sophomore
Amy Long took the ball down and scored the first goal of the game.

From that moment on, the Buffaloes had the Cavaliers on their heels and pressured goalkeeper Jordan Devan all game. Milligan outshot Montreat 20-2 in the first half. After creating several opportunities,
Amy Olvera doubled the lead in the 27th minute to put the Buffs up 2-0.

The Buffaloes kept the pressure up and added three more goals in the second half. In the 56th minute,
Brittany Davis took the ball up the sideline, crossed over and put it in the back of the net for her third goal of the season. A few minutes later,
Sidney Bailey scored the first goal of her senior season off an assist from
Caroline Ford.

In the final minute, Milligan's leading scorer
Bekah Cundiff found the back of the net for the eighth time of the season off an assist from
Alyson McMillan. Cundiff led all players with nine shots in the game.

Milligan's two goalkeepers split time in the game, with
Charlotte Stephens playing the first half and
Taylor Robinson the second. Stephens had two saves and Robinson had three.

The Buffaloes continue their three game homestand on Thursday night against nonconference opponent Hiwassee College. Milligan returns to AAC action on Saturday when it hosts St. Andrews University.
