Kellee Geren reached the 1,000-assist milestone and the Milligan College volleyball team made easy work of Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan University, 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-21), Tuesday night.

The win improved Milligan to 25-6 (14-2 AAC) where the Buffs are currently at the top of the AAC. The Buffs also improved to 15-1 at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse this season and have won 45 of 53 games on their home court.

This season had already previously seen
Samantha Bruinius and
Marissa Langford reach 1,000 kills and
Grace Ann Moorhouse reach 1,000 digs. Geren entered the day with 996 assists on the season and reached her 1,000th early in the first set on the way to 34 for the match.

Geren targeted seven Buffs for at least one kill, including Langford (16) and Bruinius (13) who were the match leaders.

Defensively, Moorhouse led the way with 17 digs while Geren and Bruinius had 12 apiece, and
Jadin Foster had eight.
ÂÂ
Milligan continues the season next Tuesday, Oct. 25, with an AAC match at Truett-McConnell before returning home for a trimatch on Saturday, Oct. 29. The Buffs will have their senior day celebration prior to hosting Point University and Montreat College.
