CLEVELAND, Ga. (Oct. 7, 2017) â€" The Milligan College women's volleyball team had a quick turn around earning another Appalachian Athletic Conference victory Saturday morning against the Truett-McConnell Bears. The Buffs beat the Bears in a 3-1 decision (27-25, 25-18, 22-25, 25-20).

Alyssa Rupert led the Buffs with 18 digs while junior
Rebecca Maxwell followed with 14 digs. Langford added 13 digs for the Buffs. Sophomore setter
Kellee Geren earned 26 assists.

The Buffs came out in the first and second game ready to attack earning five more kills than the Bears in the first set and three more in the second (12-7, 9-6). Milligan did not let Truett gain a lead in the first set despite the Bears coming in behind late in the first set forcing the score 20 apiece. Both team's battled hard toe-to-toe until point 27 but the Buffs came out on top (27-25).

Milligan came out in the second set with the momentum earning the first six points and it was only up from there. The Buffs took the second set 25-18. Milligan kept the lead in the third game up until 18 apiece. Truett took the lead from there and did not let the Buffs gain back the momentum sealing their victory in the third set (25-22). Despite Truett earning 10 kills in comparison to the Buffaloes' nine, Milligan did not let the Bears come within three points of them after point 6. Milligan secured their second AAC win of the week earning the fourth set (25-20).
