Desean Green led the Milligan College men's basketball team with double-doubles in their first Appalachian Athletic Conference road game at Bluefield College Thursday night. The Buffs lost their first conference game against the Rams, 86-76.

Though Bluefield got up on the scoreboard first with a free throw, Green scored putting Milligan ahead and the Rams were not capable of gaining the lead again in the first half. The Buffs led Bluefield by nine at one point in the half. In the final minute the Rams' Jeremiah Jenkins sank a 3-pointer but Milligan's
Will Buckner responded scoring two putting the Buffs at a six-point lead at the half.

Milligan continued their lead five minutes into the second half until Bluefield's Gage Yesbeck drained a three putting the Rams in the lead for good. The Buffs battled hard getting within two or three points of Bluefield several times in the remaining 15 minutes of the game. With four minutes left, Green made a free throw putting the Buffs behind by only three. However, Bluefield was resilient putting up 17 more points, 11 of which were off of free throws, securing their victory over the Buffs.

STATISTICAL LEADERS
Levarity had 18 points and 10 rebounds while Green earned 16 points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Senior
David Casaday had 12 points while Bucker added six points and six rebounds. Green and sophomore
Daxton Bostian led with four assists apiece.

Bluefield's Jenkins scored 31 points and was 6-for-8 from 3-point territory.

The Buffs are on the road for another AAC contest against Reinhardt University on Saturday, Nov. 18. The game time is set at 7 p.m. Milligan returns home to face AAC and defending National Champion foe Union College on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m. at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
