Sarah Robinson and
Kaely Gose led a balanced attack in which 10 members of the Milligan College women's basketball team entered the scoring column, but the Buffaloes fell to Allen University, 71-54, Saturday afternoon on the road.

The loss saw the Buffs' record drop to 6-6 (3-4 AAC). It also moved Milligan to 2-6 overall when playing on the road this season. Allen, which won six straight games in November, improved to 8-3 (5-2 AAC).

MILLIGAN LEADERS
Robinson and Gose both registered nine points while
Mackenzie Raizor scored seven off the bench.
Emily Kiser and
Teal Davis both scored six, and
Emma Kate Brown and
Kasey Gordon both scored five apiece. Gose added six rebounds and Robinson added five.

Milligan shot 32.8 percent from the field (21-64) and 23.5 percent from three (8-34). Allen struggled from 3-point territory as well, shooting 19 percent (4-21) but made up the difference from the field with a 41 percent effort (25-61).

The box score looked similar for Allen as Latisha Brown and Jada Sleet led the way for the Yellow Jackets with 10 points apiece, and nine others were in the scoring column.

Milligan has three more games left in the 2017 leg of the season, and all three will be on the road. First up is an AAC game at Point University next Saturday, Dec. 9. The next home game for the Buffs is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 2, against Bryan College.
