PULASKI, Tenn. (Feb. 11, 2017) â€" After defeating Martin Methodist with two big wins on Friday, the Milligan College baseball team ran away with the series finale, 12-2, to complete the three-game sweep over the Red Hawks Saturday afternoon in nonconference action.

Austin Perry picked up the win after throwing six innings of three-hit ball. Perry struck out six and allowed only one (unearned) run which the Red Hawks scored in the bottom of the second inning.
Wyatt Richardson pitched the final inning, closing the door on Martin Methodist to put the 10-run rule into effect after seven innings.

Milligan put runs on the board in all but two innings. After going scoreless in the first, Milligan scored eight times over the next four innings before putting up a four-spot in the seventh.
Juan Vasquez went 3-for-3 with two RBI's;
Chris Patterson and
Justin Pearson both had two hits; and
Ryan Young had two RBI's.

Next up, Milligan will hold its home opener on Thursday, Feb. 16, against Northwood University. The Buffs will then be on the road over the next weekend for a three-game series at Middle Georgia State University in Cochran, Georgia.
