MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Jan. 30, 2018) â€" Aaron Levarity led the Milligan College men's basketball team with his 16th double-double of the season in an Appalachian Athletic Conference showdown against Tennessee Wesleyan Tuesday night. After an early season loss at Wesleyan, Milligan responded with a lopsided win in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse (88-76). The Buffs moved to 8-7 in the AAC while the Bulldogs dropped to 5-9 in the AAC.
Levarity earned 23 points going 10-for-13 from the field with the addition of 14 rebounds and two blocks.
LEVARITY'S NUMBERS
Levarity leads the NAIA DII in offensive rebounds per game (5.286), ranks number four in total rebounds per game (11.667), and ranks number 10 in total field goal percentage. Levarity has scored 20+ points in the last six of eight games alongside 10+ rebounds in the last seven of those eight.
BUFF'S EARLY RALLY
It only took seven minutes to lead by double digits after a 3-pointer by Bo Pless and it took three more minutes to secure a double-digit lead the rest of the game. The Buffs went on to lead by as much as 20 points and remained on top with an 18-point lead to end the half.
SECOND HALF CUSHION
Milligan went on to lead by 20+ points for eight minutes in the second half including a 25-point lead. The Bulldogs did not come within any less than 15 points until the final two minutes of the game. Wesleyan closed out the game with an 8-2 run. However, it proved not enough as Milligan fastened their eighth AAC victory over the Bulldogs.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Following Levarity was David Casaday with 20 points and Pless with 15 points going 4-for-6 behind the arc. Mike Featherston added 10 rebounds and five blocks while Daxton Bostian led with 11 assists and no turnovers.
For Wesleyan, Kenny Dean led all scorers with a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Andre AppleWhite followed with 20 points and Jalen Oliver added 5 assists.

The Buffs are back at home to face AAC foe Point University in Steve Lacy Fieldhouse at 4 p.m. and then with a quick turnaround play Monday, Feb. 5, against Bluefield College at 7:30.
