MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 23, 2019) â€" The Milligan College men's and women's tennis teams played at Mathes Tennis Center Saturday for the first time this spring. After winning one doubles match on either side, Milligan was swept in singles to drop 8-1 decisions to visiting Southeastern University.

Mason Grear and
Taylor Graalman picked up the lone Milligan point on the men's side with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.
Marlaina Peterson and
Rachel Blankenship did the same on the women's side with an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles. Graalman then played the closest match in singles but lost 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 at No. 2.

The losses moved Milligan to 6-9 on the men's side and 9-7 on the women's side. Grear and Graalman improved to a team-best 10-4 record in doubles while Peterson and Blankenship stayed perfect at 3-0 together.

Up next, Milligan returns to Appalachian Athletic Conference action Wednesday at home when the Buffs host Montreat College at 4:30 p.m. back here at Mathes Tennis Center. The Buffs have five more home matches on the schedule this season.
