SALEM, Va. – On Saturday morning, the No. 2-ranked Milligan University women's cross country squad sent six of their runners to the Roanoke Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College in Salem, Va. The Buffaloes ended the event in ninth place out of 20 teams at the event.
 
Hope Krell was the Buffs' top performer, clocking in at 23:59.7 to place 40th as an individual. Ten spots behind her was 
Annie McDermott, who closed out the 6k race with a time of 24:26.0 to place 50th. 
Cameron Walker managed to cross the line in 55th place, scoring a 24:31.5 clip. 
Megan Haire was able to place in the top 70, compiling a 24:58.4 mark to place in 69th.
 
For Milligan's last counting time, 
Kendall Jarvis clocked a 26:11.3 to place 102nd, and 
Cami Vincent came in 161st at 29:34.5 to round out the Buffaloes' times.
 
Next on the schedule for the Buffs is a short jaunt to the NAIA Appalachian Challenge on Friday, Oct. 24 in Knoxville, Tenn. The race will be a good measuring stick for where the team stands heading into the AAC Championships on Nov. 7.
