MARIETTA, Ga. – On Saturday and Sunday, the Milligan University men's bowling team headed down south to Marietta, Ga., where they took part in the Tier 1 Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic. The Buffaloes battled over five team games and 16 baker games to a 15
th-place finish out of 23 teams in attendance.
For Milligan,
Chance McLane was the top performer, as he came away with an 11
th-place showing as an individual. He toppled 1,076 pins in his five team games to average 215.2 over 10 frames.
Cameron Shockey continued his consistent play by placing 17
th. He scored a 1,054-pin total to achieve a 210.8 average for the weekend.
For the Milligan JV squad—which placed third of five teams in attendance—
Britt Clark ended up in 40
th in the individual standings. He scored 992 pins in the five team games as the JV's top placer.

Matthew Coppola (54
th) and
Johnny Legere (55
th) ended up in the next three spots for the JV team.
Sean Jenkins, in 69
th, was the last Buffalo to place in the top 100. He knocked down 918 pins for an average of 183.6.
Milligan's total through the team games portion of the event was strong, as they had 4.898 pins, which would have been good for ninth place out of 23 squads. It was the baker games that proved to be their downfall, as they accrued just 2,799 pins, which was the fifth fewest in the event. In total, they placed 15
th with 7,697 pins.
The Buffs are off for quite a while, now, as their next event is the Glenn Carlson Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev. on Dec. 18-19. That same week, they will take part in the Collegiate Shoot-Out on Dec. 20-21 in Vegas.
