It is the sixth season of Rickert's guidance for the Buffaloes' programs, while Hall begins his third campaign with the men's team. Their slates open on Oct. 3-4, when the Buffaloes' teams head to the Midwest Collegiate Classic Tier 1 event in Sterling Heights, Mich.
The weekend of Oct. 24-25 will see the teams compete at the Lynne Jordan Memorial at Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tenn. on the 24
th, followed by the Brandon Burns Memorial on the 25
th.
Another Tier 1 looms, as the Buffs head to the Bowlero South Collegiate Classic in Marietta, Ga. on Nov. 7-8.
Following a month off, Milligan continues their season in Las Vegas, Nev., where they will compete at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 18-19, before being at the Collegiate Shoot-Out on Dec. 20-21. Both these events will also be Tier 1 level.
The NAIABCA Spring Invitational takes place on Jan. 22-24, with two separate events. Event No. 1 comes on Jan. 22, before the two-day event No. 2 will be played Jan. 23-24. The invitationals will commence in Smyrna, Tenn, outside of Nashville.
On Jan. 30-31, Milligan will head to the Mid-South Conference Greater Louisville Open (Jan. 30) and the Thomas Burris Memorial (Jan. 31) to face more NAIA competition. Both will be played in Louisville, Ky.
The Hoosier Classic, yet again, will be attended by the Buffs on Feb. 20-21. The annual Tier 1 event is hosted in Indianapolis, Ind.
"Our program keeps growing stronger each season," said Rickert, "and we'd like to keep the momentum going. Last season our women qualified as the No. 1 seed at the Midwest Collegiate, won the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational as the 5 seed, and made match play at the Hoosier Classic for the third straight year. This year we want to turn that top seed into a title, defend our Las Vegas championship, and push past the quarterfinals at the Hoosier."
The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championships, in Savannah, Ga., are on Feb. 26-27, as the two Buffs squads are looking for conference titles in 2027. It would be the first conference title for either team since the women's team's 2023 victory.
The Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectionals are set for March 12, while the location is to be decided, while the Intercollegiate Team Championship Sectionals will take place on the 13
th and 14
th in the same location.
"We're excited about the opportunities this schedule provides for our men's program to compete as the season progresses," Hall opined.
Milligan will hope that they either earn an automatic berth, or they are chosen for the NAIA National Championships as an at-large contender on March 24-27 in Lansing, Mich. at the Royal Scot Lanes.
"Our pursuit of the first national championship in program history is the mountaintop moment we're dreaming of," Rickert continued regarding the women, "but we're going to focus on what we need to do each day and enjoy climbing the mountain TOGETHER as a family."
In April, the USBC ISC/ITC National Championships are schedule for the 12
th-17
th in Mooresville, N.C. at New Victory Lanes. The Buffaloes will have to qualify at Sectionals in order to compete in the team portion of the event.
"A major goal for this team is earning a third consecutive trip to the Intercollegiate Team Championships," said Hall about the men's outfit, "and our players have embraced that challenge. We're looking forward to competing together throughout the season as we prepare for another postseason run."
