"Our fall schedule consists of matches with NCAA Division II and NAIA programs," stated Kennedy, "in addition a pair of high level tournaments that will prepare both our men's and women's teams for their run to make the national championships in Mobile, Ala. next spring."
Milligan begins their fall competition season at home when they face NCAA Division II foe, Emory & Henry, on Sept. 11 at 3 p.m.
Indiana University East is next on the schedule, as the Buffs will head to Williamsburg, Ky. for a neutral site contest on Sept. 13 against the Red Wolves. Later that day, the squad will take on Midway (Ky.) on the same court at the campus of University of the Cumberlands.
For the final event of September, the MU squad heads north to Georgetown, Ky., where they will attend the ITA Regional Small College Championships on Sept. 25-28, hosted by Georgetown College. The singles tournament event stands as one of the premier fall competitions in NAIA tennis.
To begin the month of October, Milligan is set to make a trip to Wise, Va., for a pair of duels with DIII Southern Virginia University and DII UVA Wise. The events will take place at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 4, respectively.
The squads will then welcome Kentucky Wesleyan College to the Mathes Tennis Center for matches on the following day, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. That event will lead into Milligan's homecoming event, taking place alongside a Buffs tennis reunion, as the Buffaloes will play host to Montreat (N.C.) on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m.
The final event of the fall campaign will be the UTR National Singles Tournament in Rome, Ga., taking place from Oct. 31-Nov. 2. This event will close out the fall season and prepare the Buffs'Â men and women for the spring season beginning in February.Â
