Milligan Men's And Women's Bowling Programs In Strong Posistion After ITC Sectionals Day 1

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) Sectionals began at the Pittsburgh sectional Saturday for Milligan men's and women's bowling programs. In the ITC Sectionals collegiate bowling programs from across the nation competed in baker format games across two days for a qualifying position to the ITC Championships in April.

On the men's side, the Buffs sit in third place after day one with a total of 6,381 pins. Milligan posted a first-block total of 2,972 before exploding in the second block with 3,409 pins to vault into third place. The Buffs' high games of the day came in the second block, highlighted by a 279 in Game 24, a 266 in Game 19, and a 242 in Game 18. Indiana Wesleyan leads the sectional with 6,447 total pins.

The Lady Buffs currently sit in fifth place with a total of 5,967 pins. After posting a first-block total of 2,836, Milligan bounced back with a strong second block of 3,131 to move into fifth place. The Lady Buffs' top performances included a pair of 266 games in Games 22 and 25, along with a 235 in Game 29. McKendree leads the women's sectional with 6,314 total pins.

Competition continues Sunday with the second day of ITC Sectionals baker games, as both teams look to secure advance to the ITC Championships.
