WALESKA, Ga. - On Monday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) selected Luis Peralta as the Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 5–11. The honor follows a remarkable performance at the Tennessee Invite, hosted by the University of Tennessee.

Peralta's weekend was highlighted by a 1:48.83 mark in the men's 800m, setting a new program record and establishing the fastest time in the nation for the NAIA "A" standard category. This performance earned him a first-place finish in a field loaded with talent from premier NAIA and NCAA Division I programs.

He continued his record-breaking day later that afternoon as a key member of the 4x400m relay squad. The team posted a school-record time of 3:15.33, finishing eighth in the event and securing the No. 11 spot in the NAIA national rankings this season.
